Poetry Festival in the Armenian community of Tbilisi


An evening of poetry entitled "From the Unknown Pages of Famous Poets" was held in the yard of St. George Church in Tbilisi. Peformances of Kuchak, Narekatsi, Ruben Sevak, Varuzhan, Tumanyan, Teryan, Mikael Akhtyan, Anahit Bostanjyan, Zhora Snkhchyan were performed.

Ecumenic night of spiritual song in the Cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia


Last week, an ecumenic night of spiritual song was organized in St. Gevork Cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia. The Armenian Apostolic Church hosted the believers of Latin Catholic, Evangelical-Lutheran, Evangelical-Baptist, and Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Churches along with their leaders and choirs.  
 

Tracing the court proceedings of Tandoyants Church


Early this year, the Armenian Diocese of Georgia has filed a suit to the Georgian Court  on the issue related to the Holy Mother of God Church. Last June, the Armenian Church along with its lands was transferred to the Georgian Prelacy, which has no justification as such. The Armenian Apostolic Church, as the claimant, has appealed the above-mentioned decision. This case has no precedent in terms of recognition of the historical heritage of the Armenian Church.  

Pilgrimage to Akhaltskha St. Grigor Lusavorich (Gregory the Illuminator) Church


On March 17, the Primate of the Diocese Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan offered a Divine Liturgy in St. Grigor Lusavorich Church of Akhaltskha. That day, the Armenian Church celebrates the Feast of Entrance or Captivity in the Pit of St. Grigor Lusavorich.  The believers of Akhaltskha were joined by the group of pilgrims arriving from Tbilisi.
