Armenian believers living in Russia celebrated Palm Sunday at the Holy Transfiguration Church in Moscow

The celebration began with the blessing of green branches, a symbol of life, hope and renewal. Under the leadership of His Eminence Ezras, the willow branches were blessed, which is a reminder of welcoming the Lord near Jerusalem. According to the Gospel story, the offering of olive and palm branches to the Lord symbolizes victory over death. In his blessing speech, His Eminence Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan, noted that just as people joyfully welcomed Jesus Christ at that time, covering the road with branches, so today believers welcome the Lord in their hearts.
