On September 22, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received pilgrims from the Syriac Orthodox Church arriving from the USA, led by Father Joseph Shamoun, pastor of St. Mark’s Cathedral in New Jersey.
His Holiness reflected on the close and warm relations between the Armenian Apostolic and Syriac Orthodox Sister Churches and offered his blessing to the pilgrims, expressing confidence that the pilgrimage would serve as an occasion for spiritual renewal.
