A unique unity of the tangible and the spiritual, the conceptual and the functional, reflection of the reality and a means of cognition. A tool for developing a daily and academic, esthetic and spiritual, religious and legal, political and economic consciousness. This is how a book is defined by contemporary culturology – rather comprehensive, yet incomplete definition. With all its multifunctionality, late 20th century and early 21st, the book itself is in crisis and the future of this cultural phenomenon is increasingly getting more vague.
