The collection of belts of “Protection Service” SNCO
The collection of silver belts preserved in the “Protection Service” SNCO is from domestic museums of Harich Archaeological and Dilijan’s Architecture Museum.
The belts are 7, all dating back to the 19th to 20th centuries and present two schools of silversmith - Tbilisi and Alexandrapol schools.

First novel on the heroic battle of Sardarapat
In 1974, the reader received the first ever book on the heroic battle of Sardarapat written by Robert Karayan “The Sun is Beautiful on the Sunset”. The novel was abridged, yet after almost ten years the author managed to publish it fully entitled “Salvation”. The jubilee of May heroic battles are the most important to revalue the bravery of the author.

The Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan received by Catholicos of All Armenians
On May 26, Catholicos of All Armenians received the Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan. The Minister addressed the program targeting the enhancement of Church-Army relations. The Armenian Patriarch assured that the clergy will continue to stand next to the defender of the Motherland just as it has always been in the past, the Mother See will continuously support the Armenian Army through different social, education program, assisting the freedom fighters and wounded soldiers.

Clergy meeting held at the Mother See
On May 24, nearly 200 priests serving in different Diocese gathered in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin with the Primates of their dioceses.
Before the commencement of the meeting, the priests headed by the Armenian Patriarch attended a Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral followed by a Repose of Souls for Gevork V Surenyats Catholicos at his grave.

This year, on January 28 the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Feast of Sts. Hripsime and Gayane. On the festive day, the relic of the saint was taken to the Monastery of Hripsime from the Mother See.

Thanksgiving wishes for the May heroic battles and the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia
On May 28, by the presidency of the Catholicos of All Armenians, in the open altar Trdat, a thanksgiving wish was delivered for the May heroic battles and the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia. After the prayer, the Supreme Patriarch left for Sardarapat with the leaders of Armenia and Artsakh.

Disclosure Time
In recent days, social networks and online media have been publishing calls for protests addressed to the Armenian Church, the clergy of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Catholicos of All Armenians. The authors of several protest letters published on the internet are priest who have been defrocked in previous years, who have also offered to run a protest march to solve their problems. The Mother See, as well as the members of the General Congregation, have addressed letters and videos in which they offer to solve problems in compliance with the rules adopted in the church. Why did need for this tactic of protest arise, and how do these developments relate to the context of the velvet revolution?

Requiem Repose of Soul for Father Dajad Davidian in St. Anna Church of Yerevan
One of the most joyful priests Father Dajad Davidian passed away at the age of 84. On July 16, St. Anna and Katoghike St. Astvatsatsin Churches of Yerevan brought the friends and relatives of the priest together to pray for his enlightened memory.

Arevik Social Center of Tavush Diocese will have a new building
The building of Tavush Diocese Prelacy and Arevik Social Center will be ready in April 2019. The activities of Arevik Social Center launched its activities three years ago. The Center has over 100 beneficiaries, mainly children from socially insecure families. The children attend different cultural groups; recently a youth choir was opened.
