Pan-Armenian Youth Gathering “Towards Homeland, towards Holy Etchmiadzin” kicked off


The youth gathering “Towards Homeland, towards Holy Etchmiadzin” brought together 400 Armenian young people from 20 countries. On July 4, the youth gathering organized by the Armenian Church Youth Organization was launched in the Mother See. The youth came to meet Catholicos of All Armenians and receive his patriarchal blessing.

“I saw the Supreme Patriarch only by TV, now I saw him in person”: camp children visit Mother See


The children of the camp of Nor Nork school N 135, were waiting impatiently for the Catholicos in the foyer of the Mother See Chancellery. The children came to Holy Etchmiadzin with the pastor of Nor Nork St.  Sarkis Church Father Norayr Baghdasaryan. 

The pilgrims from Javakhk expressed their support to the Armenian Patriarch


In summer, Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is especially replete with Armenian and foreign visitors and pilgrims. On the day of shooting, Patriarch Karekin II was conversing with the pilgrims from Javakhk in the territory of Ruben Sevak Museum.
The group arrived with Rev. Fr. Hakob Sahakyan - pastor of Akhaltskha and Borzhomi. The priest passed the support of the pilgrims to Catholicos voicing his concern over the recent developments in the life of Church.

Pilgrimage of the President of Federation of Cyclists to the Holy Land


Arman Antonyan, the President of Federation of Cyclists managed to realize his childhood dream and depart for Israel, Bethlehem, Nazareth and the River Jordan. After vising different holy places related to the earthly life of Christ, Arman got as far as to Jerusalem on the Feast of Holy Resurrection, wore a vestment for 5 days and attended ecclesiastical rituals. 
 

Catholicos received the religious leaders of Australian Churches


On June 26, Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, received members of the Ecumenical Delegation of the Australian Churches' Religious Leaders, accompanied by the Pontifical Delegate of India and Far East, Primate of Australia and the New Zealand,   Bishop Haykazun Najarian
 

Candlelight Divine Liturgy at the Pontifical Residence was followed by Home Blessing ceremony


Ս. After the Candlelight Divine Liturgy, the clergy accompanied the Armenian Patriarch with singings to the Residency.  According to the tradition, a Home Blessing ceremony was held at the Residency. 
 

Feast of Holy Resurrection in Arabkir Church


On April 1, the bells of newly constructed church in Arabkir community of Yerevan brought the good tiding of the Holy Resurrection. The celebrant was Father Hrant Manukyan. 
 

 

Ս. Construction of St. Karapet Church manse in Mkhchyan continues


Father Mikayel Nurijanyan is the Pastor of Mkhchyan since 2012 serving as the pastor of St. Hovhannes Mkrtich (John the Baptist) Church in parallel with his service in 4 neighboring villages - Mrgavet, Dimitrovo, Araxavan and Getazat.  As the pastor believes, the construction of the manse in St. Hovhannes Church of will improve the spiritual life of all these villages. 
 

Celebration of 112th anniversary of AGBU


The Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) marks their 112th anniversary of establishment. On this occasion, with the head of the AGBU  Yerevan office, scouts laid wreaths and flowers at the statues of the union's founder Poghos Nubar, presidents Galust Gyulbenkyan and Alex Manoogian. 
 

The care of the green areas of the Mother See


The territory of the Mother See got larger three times over the last years and makes nearly 40 ha. Exactly half of it is a green area.  How are the trees and bushes over one thousand being taken care of, what tree species grow there and what is that attracts thousands of visitors, pilgrims and locals?
 

4th exhibition of “Creating Hands” project was opened


On March 25, the 4th exhibition of “Creating Hands” project was opened in Gevorkian Theological Seminary of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The compositions were presented by young artists Alisa Gevorgyan, Vahe Baghumyan, Grigor Darbinyan and Arsen Grigoryan.
