Festival dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Krzysztof Penderecki was launched in Armenia


In 2018 the music world celebrates 85th anniversary of the renowned musician of our times - composer Krzysztof Penderecki. The start of jubilee events were launched in Armenia. The opening concert was featured by the Violin Concerto No.2 and Concerto No 5 performed for hte first time.
 

Tashir Underground street of Yerevan turned into cultural corner


On February 10, Tashir underground street of the Northern Avenue of Yerevan turned into a unique cultural corner. The students of the Armenian Apostolic Church Youth Centers presented their handicraft, songs and dances.
 

Bun Barekendan will be celebrated on February 11 this year


From the start of February, different communities of Yerevan organize events dedicated to the Feast of Bun Barekendan. They will continue up till February 11.  This year we will celebrated Bun Barekendan on that very day. The Fast of Catechumens will commence on January 12.

Aram Khachaturian State String Quartet had a concert in Iraq, which is currently in war situation. Armenian classic music was heard in Al Mansour concert hall in Baghdad.

Another concert of the fourth series of concerts “Penderecki Days in Armenia” was held in Komitas Museum-Institute. The concert program of February 16 included the compositions of the Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki.

Festive cross march to the Lovers’ Park


After the Divine Liturgy, many youngsters started a cross march from St. Sarkis Church to the Lovers’ Park There was a concert organized by Ararat Patriarchal Diocese and Pogosian Parks Foundation.
